Winter Walks, Scooters and Introducing our Little Adventurer

Winter Walks, Scooters and Introducing our Little Adventurer

It’s turned out to be a very cold wet and windy Sunday here. Despite the rain we managed to get out for our weekend dose of fresh air and a little winter walk. We are really enjoying linking in our outdoor weekend mini adventures with Fiona at Coombe Mill for #CountryKids. It has really highlighted to me that the little outdoor adventurers that we plan every weekend – really make for some wonderful memories.

We had a really lazy day yesterday, I am sure that the little ones only changed out of their pj’s to put on a Cinderella and ballerina dressing up outfit. We have had a busy week and Otis is currently in the garage being repaired after an unfortunate bump.

We awoke this morning and decided to head out and grab breakfast from Trentham Gardens. We like to do that sometimes, it is a real treat and the kids seem to prefer to eat out for breakfast rather than for their evening meals. We wanted to try out a baby carrier for babyS,  so the girls donned their usual weekend attire of wellington boots and fleeces and we headed out for a feast of a  breakfast followed by a little stroll with the scooters to work off that breakfast.

Lil_E loves her weekend walks – she really seems to miss ‘M’ while she is at school  -they really are the best of friends. We are on count down now – just one more week and then it is half term, a whole week of mixing adventurers with lazy days. we can’t wait and I know our biggest girl is ready for a break!

We hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

Here are a few photos from our Sunday morning…..

That looks like my favourite way to spend a Sunday Morning, the only way I can get some of mine out of bed on a Sunday is for Breakfast out. The girls look gorgeous in their yellow raincoats, they really add some bright happy colours to some wintry days I’m sure. I’m sure the draw of scooters are just as big with your lot as they were when mine were younger, that carrier looks like a lovely cosy way for babyS to travel too, winners all around. I’m so glad you enjoy joining in with Country Kids, I love reading about all your adventures!

Thanks for linking with me on #CountryKids.
