Indoor spa areas – You can relax and enjoy a few hours unplugging from the world here, with a swimming pool, steam room, hydrotherapy pool and reflexology foot baths. The sale lounge is one of my favourites and offers a tranquil space to unplug (no devices allowed). Relax and unwind here in this dark and quiet space.
Mud Rasul Treatment Room – Inspired by an ancient middle eastern ritual. Apply nourishing muds to your face and body in your own private room with heat and steam.

Set on the edge of Staffordshire with stunning views over the Roaches you will find Three Horseshoes County Inn and Spa. The Mill Wheel Spa at The Three Horseshoes Country Inn provides a unique and memorable Staffordshire spa retreat and is a perfect location for a day of rest and relaxation.
There isn’t a swimming pool here but there is a great range of relaxation options here and in all honesty I very often book a spa retreat here – it has an exclusive feel and has everything you need to recharge your batteries (and more).
The Mill Wheel Spa facilities include;
The Beach Hut – If you love the idea of lying on a sun bed on the beach, then this unique experience will be for you. The idea is that it replicates the positive benefits of being on a beach in the sun, and offers a 25 minute experience with relaxing music and essential oils and is a great way to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) to top up Vitamin D levels helping beat winter blues.
Rasul – This is a 2 people spa experience involving smoothing mineral rich mud onto your skin whilst the room heats up over a 30 minute period. As the treatment nears its end, water will rain down onto you to wash away the muds, revealing fresh, revitalised, healthy skin.
The Farmers Sauna – A great alternative to a “conventional” sauna! A wood-panelled room replicating an Alpine Brechel cabin, enables you to breathe in the spicy goodness of the forest.
The Cedar Plunge Pool – We know the benefits of moving from a heated environment to a cold of a Plunge Pool. Just a 30 second dip can stimulate circulation, the nerves in the Body & Brain and can help to alleviate joint pain & muscle stress, it can tighten the skin and leave you fully refreshed.
The Peak District Stone Bath – A steam bath experience at the Mill Wheel Spa. The basket containing the hot stones is dipped into a basin filled with cold water and the sizzling stones omit all the valuable minerals along with the steam to fill the room to create a feeling of wellbeing.
Outdoor Vitality Pool and Spa Garden – A 3m square hydrotherapy pool outside in the outdoor spa courtyard that is set at 36.c where you can relax in the warmth of the water or relax on the courtyard wrapped in a cosy blanket.
The Mill Wheel Shower – This is a visual centre piece of the spa, where the water pours out from the shovels in intervals, alternatively warm and cold, and offers a welcome revive after visiting the hotter experiences.
The Relaxation Suite – A read of tranquility to relax and unwind, with fluffy blankets, comfortable cushions, loungers and a warm fire to enjoy a quiet moment, read or a cheeky nap.
There is a therapy longe offering a range of treatments. You can book various spa packages at the Mill Wheel Spa including a Morning spa, Afternoon Spa, Evening Spa or overnight spa with various treatments to choose from. The country Inn also offers delicious food and I can also recommend the afternoon tea too.
