Christmas Tree Forest Christmas Tree: REVIEW

Christmas Tree Forest Christmas Tree: REVIEW

Christmas seems to have crept up on us this year. Over the last few weeks we have embarked on some house renovations, turning our galley kitchen into an open plan living space. We have spent the last couple of months living upstairs, without any form of kitchen and washing our dishes in the bath. Our Christmas Tree Forest Christmas tree arrived in perfect time, just as the skip left our drive and the builders waved goodbye.

I was so excited to get rid of the dust and bring Christmas to our home (finally).

So this is the first year we have had a Christmas Tree delivered to our home. For as long as I can remember, we have thrown on our coats and wellington boots, wrapped up, and headed over to the local Christmas tree farm in search of the perfect tree….

We selected a convenient delivery date and our tree was delivered to our door. The service was wonderful, and I have to say our 6ft Norman Fir Tree is beautiful .

I have always had this romantic idea of searching for our Christmas Tree, popping it in the car and heading home to decorate it with an open fire and a glass of mulled wine.

So let me tell you a tale.

Okay so the year before last involved getting home to find that said chosen tree didn’t fit through the door. Yes, really. So we had to trot back to the farm in the hope that we could swap for a slightly smaller tree.

Last year was the first year we went Christmas tree shopping as a family of five. This trip involved Child A losing a wellington boot in a hole, Child B tripping up and falling flat on her face, and Child C throwing up just as we arrived. Trying to choose a Christmas tree quickly under pressure…. well I just couldn’t do it, and Mr Otis and Us vowed never to return to the Christmas tree farm ever again 🙂

Seriously … the pressure of choosing that perfect Christmas tree when you stand in a field of Christmas trees, I just really struggle! So this year I won’t lie, I was so looking forward to having our Christmas tree chosen and delivered to our door.  No stress, no mess in the camper, and no hassle.
