Easter is a wonderful time of the year. The sun makes an appearance, the temperature is milder and the days are getting longer. There are some great events taking place over Easter in Staffordshire that are suitable for all of the family.
If the weather is hit and miss there is also plenty to do in Staffordshire if it is raining. There are also some great free (or cheap) family friendly days out that won’t break the budget.

Easter Egg Hunt at Shugborough Estate, Staffordshire

There is so much for you to do at Shugborough Estate. You can try your hand at the zip-wire in the play area, and spot the animals playing out in the field.
During Easter, you can make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Don’t forget to grab your chocolate egg at the end of the trail!

Easter Steam Train Mad Hatters Tea Party – Churnet Valley Railway 2024

Back by popular demand, Churnet Valley Railway are bringing you their Easter Steam Train Afternoon Tea Mad Hatters Tea Party over Easter 2024.
Climb aboard on a train and travel through the stunning Staffordshire countryside with its picturesque views and join in the fun and games and become a part of the show. Encounter the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle-Dee, Tweedle-Dum, the Mad Hatter, and more. All trains depart from Froghall.

Visit Tamworth Castle over Easter for a special Easter egg hunt. Ruby the Castle Dragon has hidden her eggs from the dastardly dragon hunter. She has been very clever and disguised them, but now she cannot find them! You are invited to help find the eggs, and explore the castle.
