Otis and Us do love to try out all of the many family friendly festivals in the UK. I can’t imagine a year without planning a weekend of fresh air, glitter, magic, dancing …. oh and not forgetting lugging that festival trolley through an uneven woodland area!
Thinking about trying a family friendly festival with kids next year?
There are so many family friendly festivals to choose from, I have included a few of our favourites in this post. We have been to Just So festival for many years, since our eldest was 3! So if you have any questions about this festival do drop me a line. More recently we have reviewed Just So Festival 2019, Timber Festival 2019, and Elderflower Fields Festival and genuinely loved them all. I was so excited to hear that Elderflower Fields is heading to the Midlands this year!
If you love a family friendly festival with a choice of live music and bands, I can highly recommend The Big Feastival and Camp Bestival. Great family friendly festivals with such a good atmosphere and so much to do for kids.

Festival tips with kids
So if you asked me for my festival tips with kids, it would be to throw out the routine, take clothes for all weather, and just enjoy the music, arts, crafts, and time together in the fresh air!
I would also say don’t be a slave to the programme. We often wander around aimlessly and I love it that way. I don’t get hung up on timings and possibly leaving areas that the kids are enjoying – just to get to the next destination.

Do you have any festival tips with kids or a favourite family friendly festival in the UK? – we love to hear from you
