Hello and Welcome back to Monday Escapes 8/4/2019
Good Morning! I can’t believe it is Monday again….and April!!! Where is this year going, it only seems like yesterday we were huddled on the sofa watching Christmas films now we are nearing the Easter break. Thanks to everyone who linked up to Monday Escapes a fortnight ago, we do love reading your posts!
What have we been up to?
We have had a quiet month in March, we are still saving for some house renovations and it is difficult to do everything isn’t it? I did have a week off work and managed to decorate my little boy’s room and turn it into a ‘big boy’ room. I loved a week off, having the opportunity to be around for all of the school runs too (it is the simple things in life isn’t it!?)
We did get out to enjoy a couple of day trips and I took my little boy to Wheelock farm in Cheshire. I also had a child free day out with the hubby walking in the Roaches, Peak District.

After a lovely annual leave week it’s back to work for me. Wishing I was sitting with a cuppa taking in those views this morning. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoy Monday (how is it April already!?) 🌷 . . .#theroaches #visitstaffordshire @visitpeakdistrict #lovelifeoutside #getoutdoors #getoutandhike #livelifeoutside #viewoftheday #mondayvibes #travelphotography #exploremore #justpassingthrough #wanderlustmomblogger #ukexplore #fearlessfamtrav #snaphappybritmums #outdoorsfamilylife #familytravel #hikingadventures #capturingbritain #beautiful_britain #staffordshire #visitpeakdistrict #englishcountryside #countrysideviews #uniquedistrict #landscapephotography

Yesterday was spent in the lovely Asbury Park, New Jersey. We absolutely loved it there. This Beach resort town has an interesting history and around every corner you catch glimpses of the wonderful 1920s architecture, which unfortunately fell to ruin after the Great Depression and WW2. But it is now an amazing mix of old and new, and was bustling even out of season. Apparently in the summer it is one long party with live music and DJs. Today we head to Philadelphia, so expect videos from the famous Rocky steps!
Our Favourite posts from last time
Thanks again for linking up to Monday Escapes. There were so many posts we loved.
I loVed Truly Madly Kids and their review of La Plagne Soleil. We have never tried a skiing holiday but I know that it is something that my husband is really keen to do. I love the idea of travelling on the Eurostar and finishing the day off with a spa and those incredible views!!
I also loved Wandermum’s post about their relaxing family break at Woolley Grange. The facilities sound great and loved the childcare option. I do love a spa break to recharge the batteries!
Our Lonely Planet Winner
As we mentioned last week, we are thrilled that Lonely Planet have been kind enough to continue to offer either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range to the writer of our favourite post each fortnight. (See T&C’s below).
Daisy and I have chosen Truly Madly Kids as our winner this week – Do get in touch to claim your prize!
Monday Escapes is a place to share and look back at your favourite travel memories; from day trips, holidays, trips of a life time and everything else in between. It doesn’t have to be a written post, we love you to share your favourite travel snapshots too. Monday Escapes is simply a place for you to link up with like-minded people and share your travel and adventures, and hopefully grab some travel inspiration along the way.
The linky is now run by Daisy at Dais Like These and myself at Otis and Us.
Monday Escapes what’s in it for you
Monday Escapes is an opportunity to share you favourite travel posts, memories or photos.
The thing to remember is that you’ll be sharing your lovely travel posts with a like-minded community and grabbing some travel inspiration for yourself. As a bonus you have a chance to have your blog post featured on mine and Daisy’s blogs each fortnight and therefore introducing your blog to even more people. We will also re-tweet anyone who uses the #MondayEscapes hashtag.
We are also absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!
