MondayEscapes – Chasing the Sun

MondayEscapes – Chasing the Sun

I have just got home from the school run, which involved a last minute dash (Mondays are so hard to get out of bed don’t you think!?) raincoat, umbrella and buggy rain covers… yes another day of rain – as if the rain yesterday wasn’t enough.

So as I sit down with a cuppa whilst my middle one covers  the kitchen in poster paint, and my littlest one is snoozing.. My mind wanders back to our road trip the year before last. We have experienced some wonderful trips in our Campervan, which I will share with you soon.

This road trip was wonderful. We didn’t really have a plan, or any campsite bookings or even an idea of where we wanted to go. We just headed South and stumbled across campsites, or booked campsites along the way, with my phone and the wonderful 3G. There is something about spontaneity that we just love.. no plans.. no goals.. no deadlines… freedom.

We spent two weeks “chasing the sunshine” – if it rained we moved on until we found the sunshine. The kids loved it, we loved it . So here is a photo of Sandbanks in Poole where we found a little bit of sunshine.
Happy days 🙂

It’s wonderful to have that kind of freedom where there is no rush to get somewhere, and if the weather changes just go somewhere else! We did that once before and it was glorious and most spontaneous holiday ever! #MondayEscapes

Chasing the sun… What a wonderful idea! I know Poole quite well as my granddad lives nearby, but haven’t been to Sandbanks since I was little!

I love those types of trips where you just hit the road and find some lovely places along the way. This is what Mr Tin Box and I did ages ago when we packed a tent in the back of our car and drove around Europe. It was a lot of fun. I’d really like to do it all again with the kids. Great picture from Poole! Thanks for linking up with #mondayescapes

Wow that sounds wonderful. We would love to venture further afield when BabyS is a little bit bigger! We do love our road trips where we have no plans or reservations – it is such fun! I am really enjoying #MondayEscapes – thank you 🙂
