Kidunk clothing and wellies for outdoor play
I was introduced to Kindunk outdoor clothing last year at the Just So festival. I instantly loved the vibrant colours, practical and innovative designs of Kidunk clothing that encourage children to get outdoors, get messy and have fun. I always keep an eye out for clothes that are practical for our campervan trips and our general love for outdoor life. We loved the Kidunk play suit that we reviewed tested last year, and I was slightly broken-hearted when my little one grew out of it. So when Kidunk got in touch with me to ask if I wanted to road test their new summer suit, I just had to say yes. We had the hottest and driest summer that I can remember for a long time, with very little mud and mess. I think for most of the Summer the kids lived in their swimming costumes! But since we returned from our Brittany road trip, the weather has remained warm, and with the introduction of a few of those well-known rain clouds….it has been perfect weather to throw on the new Kidunk Summer suit and a pair of wellies.
Let me tell you about Kidunk
So as I have mentioned before, Kidunk specialises in beautiful, practical, vibrant clothing designed to bridge the gap between old-fashioned waterproofs and impractical fashion clothes. The award-winning clothes are lightweight, breathable and with the Teflon coating they are stain resistant, water-resistant and shower proof.

The Kidunk summer suit. is aimed at children ages 2-5, and is available in sizes 2-3yrs, 3-4years, and 4-5 years. Prices range from £24.99 for the top £19.99 for the bottoms, and £18.99 for the wellies.
As a family who love to camp, we do not go anywhere without our wellies. I tend to have a little box in the back of the camper van filled with the essential items… these ‘essential’ items include bucket and spades, fishing nets, an inflatable, wellington boots and baby wipes!
Kidunk Wellies are perfect for outdoor fun, and L O T S of puddle jumping. I love that there is a waterproof cuff with a drawstring and stopper to protect clothes, socks and little feet. They are fleece lined for extra warmth and comfort – meaning they are great for Summer months right through to Winter. There is a heel reflector added to each wellington boot for visibility and safety. The boots are high shine with a choice of three lovely and vibrant unisex colours – blue, red and yellow –it is safe to say we love them.
What do we love about the Summer suit?
I love the fact that the summer suit is adaptable to the changeable weather in the UK. What I also love is how versatile it is. We are all familiar with those days sitting on the beach in beautiful sunshine one minute, and running for cover from the rain the next. We have always camped whatever the weather right through to the October half term and I love to see the kids enjoying the fresh air, exercising, spending time away from screens come rain or shine. We travelled to Italy at Easter and the weather was very changeable. With this in mind, it is great to find kids clothes that are waterproof, durable, hard wearing and super practical and extremely versatile.
The top and bottoms have sun protection with a UPF rating of 50+, making it an ideal choice of clothing for those summer months and for holidays and beach days.
I love the vibrant colours of the Kidunk suits. We have the Tutti Fruiti top and the watermelon trousers, but there is a choice of others including the seaside top, and pebble trouser (a neutral pebble grey), the coast top, and the adventurer trousers.
I love that the Summer suit can be adapted to the changeable weather and I think this really is a wonderful and clever design. It has removable arms and legs to create short sleeves and shorts on those warmer days. The top and bottoms also zip together to create an all-in-one, thus protecting the little one and keeping out the water, rain, sand and mud.
Kidunk clothing: Our verdict.
It is safe to say we have been huge fans of Kidunk since I noticed the clever designs at a stand at the Just So Festival last year. I have to say that I am super excited that my youngest adventurer will soon be big enough to fit in to the smallest size Kidunk clothing. My little girl adores her Kidunk summer suit and my eldest would’ve loved to have squeezed into the 4-5 if she could have.
Kidunk clothing is practical, cleverly designed and super stylish – what’s not to love?
