It was a cold and frosty morning. I put on my trainers and heated jacket and headed out to brave the fresh air. Wait…. A ‘heated jacket’, I hear you say?

You have got it… A heated jacked! I am in love.

I won’t lie, when I first heard about the 8K Flexwarm Heated Jacket I did a little ‘hop, skip and dance’. For someone who doesn’t really love feeling cold, I couldn’t wait to try out this revolutionary jacket. To me, the 8K Flexwarm jacket is a coat and a hot water bottle…. all rolled in one. And let me tell you I do love a hot water bottle ..  a fleece blanket …. hand warmers ….  and well …. a heated jacket!

How does the 8K Flexwarm jacket work?

The 8K  Heated Jacket uses Flexwarm® technology, which is a revolutionary new method that eliminates heats evenly throughout the jacket and eliminates cold spots.  Flexwarm® uses an ultra-thin layer that is printed to the internal fabric enabling the jacket to heat evenly and super fast through the three heated zones. Can I just add – the hand warmer pockets are heavenly.

How do you control the temperature?

There are three heat settings, low ( 40°C) medium ( 45°C ) and high (50°C) and three heated zones, two on the front and one on the back. You can choose to have the front zone heated, the back zone or both.  The jacket comes with a small lightweight power bank that you charge and then slip into the inner pocket of the coat. It is small and lightweight, similar to the weight of a mobile phone – so not noticeable at all. The power bank has two USB points so can also charge your mobile phone – super handy when out for the day! Another point to add is the power bank can provide up to 6 hours of warmth.

The jacket can be controlled from the two buttons on the side of the jacket, or the temperature can be controlled from the Powered by Flexwarm app – downloaded to your mobile phone.

8K Flexwarm Heated Jacket: Review

What do I love about this jacket (apart from the fact that it is like wearing a hot water bottle?) The jacket suits my casual style and is extremely comfortable and lightweight. Another thing to add is the jacket is water resistant. I ordered the medium as I like to have a little room to move around and breathe in a coat- particularly when we are out and about and when I end up intermittently carrying a wriggly toddler around. I think in all honesty I could have probably got away with a small.

I think this jacket will be perfect for our camping adventures, our weekend hikes and I can just imagine wearing it on those days when I am standing on the sidelines watching out little tribe playing sports.  Like I said at the beginning of my post – for me who loves to spend time outdoors with my family, this jacket is heaven!

Where can you purchase an 8K Flexwarm jacket?
