Based on Ian Fleming’s classic story that was later made into the famous 1968 film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has arrived at the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent.
If you haven’t already watched the film. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is about an absent-minded inventor named Caractacus Potts (Adam Garcia) who restores a broken-down old racing car with the help of his children Jemima (Melody Caruana) and Jeremy (Huxley Syers). The family soon discover that the car has incredible magical powers and takes you along on a wonderful heart warming adventure.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Regent Theatre Review
I don’t even want to admit this, but I haven’t seen the film. My friend Gemma, who I took along with me for the night, was genuinely horrified. I know… I know…. I will change this and watch the film sharpish. But now I have got that off my chest – let’s talk about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Regent Theatre.
WHAT A SHOW!
The show…the set…the orchestra, and the cast were all absolutely incredible.
The cast includes Adam Garcia who played Caractacus, Liam Fox as Grandpa Potts, Ellie Nunn who played an amazing Truly Scrumptious, and Jemima and Jeremy Potts (played by Melody Caruana and Huxley Syers) Genuinely the whole cast worked beautifully together and I genuinely couldn’t mention anyone who stood out, as they were all just amazing.
There was so much energy on the stage and I loved the Baron (played by Martin Callaghan) and Baroness (played by Jenny Gayner) who had such an energy and a great relationship on stage.
I am still smiling – and genuinely can’t fault this show – they nailed it.
