The Festive Season is creeping upon us, and I actually can’t wait. I love everything about Christmas, and everything it brings. Christmas for us is about spending time with loved ones, twinkling lights and throwing on the wellies in search for that PERFECT Christmas tree. I love the hot chocolates with a Christmas movie, Christmas songs on the radio and the hustle and bustle of a Christmas market.

Visiting a Christmas Tree Farm and choosing a Christmas Tree
For us, this is the start of Christmas. Throwing on the wellies, grabbing a woolly hat and heading to our local Christmas tree farm in search of our perfect Christmas tree. I love walking through the trees and I love the smell of all the trees. I won’t lie, it takes me a LONG time to find the Christmas tree. It has to be a right shape of course, and it is always too big when we get it home!

Baking Christmas Cookies
A couple of years ago we decided to stop buying Christmas cards. Instead we chose to bake Christmas cookies and give them to friends and neighbours instead of Christmas card. I feel like it is so much more personal, and also the girls can take charge and bake the cookies. The girls love baking and love baking for others. I hope that this continues for years to come and becomes one of our favourite Christmas traditions
Visiting a Christmas Light Trail
Christmas light trails are a festive walking route that illuminates a public space garden or park with thousands of twinkling light and music. We have attended local Christmas light trail for years including Trentham Gardens Winter Light Trail and Last Years Chatsworth House Christmas light trail and markets. We love the interactive displays, the Stunning twinkling light installations and the hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows at the end.
If you haven’t considered a light trail before then definitely add it to your list, its such a special and magical thing to do at Christmas.

Christmas Markets
Oh we love a Christmas market. The hustle and bustle. The mulled wine and hot chocolates. The twinkling lights and festive music as you shop. Christmas markets offers a wonderful opportunity to grab a beautiful gift whilst supporting small and local businesses.
There are some great local markets if you are local to Staffordshire in the UK.
Choosing the Perfect Gifts for loved ones
Okay so this is what I love about Christmas. Finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones. Recently I have been able to find all of the perfect presents on Very.co.uk who really do have Christmas gifting sorted this year. Very.co.uk have taken the stress out of finding the perfect gift for my favourite people and that also means more time to focus on the light trails, Christmas movies and spending time with my loved ones.
From Kids toys to Jewellery gifts – I have already managed to do most of my Christmas shopping already this year thanks to Very.co.uk.

Wrapping Christmas Presents
Who doesn’t love a luxury wrapping paper, with a fancy bow, or a sprig of Hollie tucked into a jute bow?
I need to up my game this year. This year I’m not going to just wrap all the presents last minute with a sticker label on. This is the year of Christmas tree sprigs and baubles.

Christmas Dinner
I have a confession. I can’t really cook Christmas dinner like my mama. I love Christmas dinner. Even when it was covid times my parents made our Christmas dinner and left it in takeaway pots on my door step. We love a but roast and a Roast beef and Yorkshire puddings dinner with some profiteroles and crackers. Mostly though I just love spending time with everyone and the chats and chaos of Christmas together. It fills my heart with joy.
Time with loved ones
Whether it be a night with friends, a family Christmas movie in front of the fire, a Work night out, or a family gathering with loved ones. I love that even when life is just ridiculously busy Christmas is a time when everyone makes time for the special people in their lives. and that completely fills my cup.
Christmas traditions
Christmas means different things to us all, but I love the Small personal, Christmas traditions that make Christmas that little bit more special. Whether it be the Elf on the Shelf, Christmas crafting or baking, homemade advent calendars, midnight mass, Christmas Eve Carol service, or a Christmas movie and a night of tracking Santa. Christmas traditions can be those things you do as a family that brings magic and joy to you all. And these are the things you will remember the most.
Wishing you a Merry and peaceful Christmas
