We have been on the look out for a luxurious bedding set and duvet that works well for travel and vanlife…and I think we have found it! Okay so let me introduce you to The Fine Bedding Company. The Fine Bedding Company started in 1912, as a small family company and began to focus on developing luxurious solution-based bedding products. Their main aim is to create a better product for a better nights sleep.

So let me tell you about the Night Owl duvet and why we love it for our vanlife. The Night Owl is a duvet and cover in one. a coverless duvet.
Firstly this means no changing the bed when you arrive. No wrestling with duvet covers in the limited space. just unpack and place over the bed.
The night owl comes in a drawstring bed making it very easy to pack and take away on your travels. I use loads of hooks for storage solutions in the campervan, so the drawstring bag is really handy for storing and transporting.
Unpacking the Night owl bedding it is surprisingly lightweight. We opted for the 4.5 tog as the campervan does get quite warm and we only ever sleep with a 4.5 tog duvet all year round, so this was perfect for us. The Night owl does also come in a 10.5 tog, and 7 tog along with the 4.5 tog. It is also available in single, double and king size.
How about washing?
Okay so here is the good news. The filling is 100% Smartfil® Microfibre from Recycled PET Bottles. This means that it can go into a washing machine at 40°C. Hang it out to dry and it is super quick drying. quick drying in just 90 mins – that’s fast! You can also tumble dry until thoroughly dry. On washing it completely returns to its plump state. So definitely top marks for ease of washing and drying.
Night Owl duvet
The night owl duvet comes in a variety of colour options including;

We opted for the cloud grey, a soft light grey that works lovely and complements both the campervan interior and my favourite crochet cushions and blanket.
The Verdict
So what do we thing of the Night owl duvet?
We absolutely love the night owl duvet, it is beautiful quality. Really soft. Really luxurious. I love the drawstring bag, makes for easy storage and is super compact when stored.
This duvet is wonderful for travel and vanlife ….. It is not just for a camper may I add – the night owl duvet is perfect for home too – we may just need another one for our king sized bed 🙂
