Camping Domaine du Logis
Camping Domaine du Logis is a lovely family friendly campsite. There are around 180 plots and a number of caravan rentals. The campsite is near to St Malo, so super convenient for ferry travel.
The facilities are set within the grounds of a 15th century château. Here you will find two heated swimming pools, a trampoline, bouncy castle, play park, giant chess set, snack bar, restaurant and kids club. There is also a basketball court and miniature golf. There really is just so much here for children. We genuinely love it here and I would say it is one of our top campsites in France.
Domaine du Logis facilities
Domaine du Logis is a charming site and has everything covered to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and they also spoke great English. First things first – Don’t forget to order your croissants over at reception for the following morning!
So, as I have mentioned, there is a large outdoor pool, children’s pool and splash pool. The pool area is beautiful, extremely clean and we found it to be fairly quiet, even in the August holidays. There is also a lovely play area including a trampoline, play park and bouncy castle. Although we did not access this for our short stay, during high season there is a kids club.
You will also find a small shop, gym, bar, restaurant, takeaway and cycle hire. The food in the restaurant is delicious.
There is free WiFi on the pitches and the wash block is lovely – really modern, tidy and and we have found them to be extremely clean. The pitches are all a really good size with some open pitches and some part-shaded, all with electricity, water and drainage. Another thing I love about this campsite is the reception gave us the freedom to choose our own pitch, and then pop back to let them know where we had chosen. As we took the overnight ferry to Caen, we arrived at the campsite really early and they also allowed us to set up camp on arrival, giving us a full day to enjoy the campsite and the facilities.
Cycling around Domain du Logis
It is the first time we have manage to take our bikes on a road trip in the campervan. Just 200 metres from the site you can join the cycle path and explore the Isle-et-Rance canal and the beautiful Brittany countryside. We were only here for just one night this time around, but we did manage to squeeze in a little cycle around the campsite which was lovely.
Camping Domaine du Logis – our final thoughts.
This is one of our favourite campsites in France that we have stayed at. It is such a beautiful campsite and we love it for its laid back, friendly vibe. It is a relatively small and quiet campsite, family friendly, conveniently located close to St Malo and Caen for your ferry travel, and offers an ideal base to explore Brittany and Normandy.
