We love to spend as much time outdoors as we possibly can, filling our weekends with camper van adventures, road trips, woodland walks and days at the beach. If you are looking for ideas and inspiration for gifts for an outdoor family, then I have put together a few Christmas gift ideas for kids who love the outdoors.

Our eldest is asking for rollerskates this year. She has just turned eight and I am thinking that this may just be the Christmas for rollerskates ! I love these pink rollerskates with the gorgeous rainbow colours!
We purchased a balance bike a couple of years ago when our middle mini me was just two and it was the perfect size to throw in the camper or in the car for our weekends away. She learned to ride her bike without stabilisers at three and I put that down to the balance bike. I have been looking for a balance bike for our youngest mini me and I love this gorgeous Hape balance bike available online.
Hape Flower Press
My eldest daughter will love this concept and it is something I remember spending hours doing when I was a child. The Hape flower press enables children to create their own art collection and turn dried plants and flowers into works of art using the paints, brush and stickers included.
Nature detective kit
Great to take out for a family walk, this lovely nature detective kit includes a whistle and a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass can be used to look for shells, bugs and little critters. A lovely stocking filler to entertain the kids on an outdoor family adventure.
We purchased this mud kitchen last year and it really is a child’s dream! My kids spend hours making potions and lotions and mud soup in our garden. I know it’s messy, but I also love kids to have mud on their clothes, sand in their hair and smiles on their faces. Mud kitchens are available from a number of retailers. This beautiful mud kitchen has been made for our little boy by the dad of one of my best friends. He absolutely loves it.
Brik Buster by Strictly Briks
I love the idea of this tower game and I like that it is fun for all of the family. Basically stack the Briks to see how high you get before the tower crashes down. Don’t be one to knock the tower down…….. Perfect for a picnic blanket and a balmy summer evening in the garden.
Brik Buster won one of three 2017 Eddy Awards for Best Educational Products. Another great feature is that the Strictly Briks items are compatible with all major brands of large bricks.
This is a lovely gift for outdoor kids. The Boxwild children’s gift box contains everything you need to get a child interested in feeding the birds. The box includes a paint your own nesting box along with two regular sized seed blends, a bird feeder and a little scoop. For more info head over to Boxwild online
We are huge fans of MicroScooters in our house as I find scooters make our weekend walks much more pleasurable, particularly for our younger kids who don’t always embrace the idea of a long walk. The scooters are easy to pack in a car or the camper for the weekends away and Microscooters are available for children aged 18 months plus.
