Holiday park in Cornwall with a swimming pool

If you are looking for a family friendly holiday park in Cornwall with a swimming pool, then you will love Meadow Lakes. The facilities here are brilliant. Not only is this holiday park dog friendly, but it is absolutely perfect for families.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. We arrived just after lunchtime having had a long but straightforward trip from Staffordshire. We were given a lovely welcome and provided with our keys, information pack, and a site map, before being directed to our holiday home with a private hot tub.

The site was spacious and quiet. We instantly knew that we were going to have an amazing few days at Meadow Lakes and we were excited about our stay and exploring the surrounding area.

Meadow Lakes Holiday Park facilities:

Meadow Lakes really does have something for everyone. We loved the quiet vibe of the park, offering a much needed relaxing break with our children and golden retriever. It can sometimes be hard to find luxurious dog friendly accommodation or dog friendly campsites, but our Kingfisher holiday home was incredible. Luxurious, immaculate and modern. We genuinely couldn’t have wished for anything more.

There is plenty to do on site and we all loved spending time here, and for the first time in a long time we didn’t feel the need to get out and about and explore the wider area. The kids loved the outdoor play area with a great zip wire, and the resident animals, and of course the hot tub was a real treat. Our dog loved the huge enclosed dog field as it allowed him to have complete freedom of lead in a safe environment.

The facilities at Meadow Lakes are excellent and the heated swimming pool (open from late May) is a wonderful addition for the Summer months.

  • Heated Swimming pool (Open Late May – September)
  • Choice of accommodation with hot tub
  • Fishing lakes, play areas,
  • Gorgeous friendly animals
  • Play barn
  • Excellent outdoor play area with zip wire
  • Large enclosed dog walking field
  • Café on site
  • Reception and shop

What to do nearby

There is plenty to do on site, including a heated swimming pool from May onwards, a great outdoor play park, café and woodland walk.

If you wanted to visit nearby attractions St Austell is the nearest town around 4 miles away. The Eden project is just 15 minutes from Meadow Lakes Holiday Park too.

We visited the famous village of Charlestown (known as the film set for Poldark) and this is just 5.4 miles away. I can highly recommend a meal in the Rashleigh Arms, – great service, excellent food and dog friendly, and also the Short and Strong cafe for amazing cakes, lunch and coffee.

We also visited the harbour village of Mevagissey and enjoyed coffee and cake at She Sells and had a wander around the shops.

The weather wasn’t on our side during our long weekend, but we did get the chance to visit Carlylon beach, too, during our visit; with miles of golden sands, good car parking, and beachside shops just opening for the season, where we purchased some coastal jewellery.

Meadow Lakes Holiday Park Review

It is not often that we get to the end of our stay and make a snap decision to stay longer, and this is what happened during our stay at Meadow Lakes. The kids loved it and really didn’t want to leave, so we managed to work out an additional night stay. I think this speaks volumes. We love Cornwall so much, there is so much to see and do here. Meadow Lakes is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are so friendly, the facilities are excellent and our holiday home was luxurious and spotless. This holiday park offers the perfect base to explore Cornwall. We will 100 percent return.
