My eldest child is 9, and so we have enjoyed Melissa and Doug toys for many years. My eldest loves arts and crafts and has loved Melissa and Doug’s paper crafts, paints, beads and fashion design!! We are also huge fans of the wonderful primary lacing beads for 3+ years promoting hand-eye coordination, fine motor, cognitive and visual perception skills.

Melissa & Doug Suspend Game
This is a wonderful family game that requires steady hands! Suspend is a tricky game for 1-4 players and is designed for ages 9 and over (although my 6 year old loved it!!) The Melissa & Doug Suspend Game comes with 24 notched rubber tipped wire pieces to hang from a stand. The idea is to try to hang all the pieces without making it fall … testing the most steady hands!!!!!

Melissa & Doug See & Spell Learning Toy
Melissa & Doug See & Spell Learning Toy is a beautiful collection of puzzles to help to develop spelling and sight reading vocabulary. What I really love is that the letters can also be used for stencilling. There are 72 colourful wooden letters that fit into the double sided boards. The puzzles all come in a handy wooden storage case, great for travel!!!
Melissa & Doug Doctor Children’s Costume
My daughter is a huge fan of dressing up and so loves this gorgeous Melissa & Doug Doctor Children’s Costume.
The role play set features a jacket and mask, a stethoscope with sound effects, a reflex hammer, an ear scope, a syringe and a name tag for personalising. Basically everything that your little doctor could possibly need!!!! We love that the stethoscope is really realistic and makes a heart beat sound (requires 2 x AAA batteries!)
We love Melissa and Doug toys, and there are some wonderful ideas for Christmas presents and stocking fillers for children of all ages.
