Outdoor fun with Micro Scooters
Outdoor life and fresh air. You can’t beat it. We try to get out most weekends, whatever the weather…I find it is good for the soul. I have to say though, just lately our family walks have often ended before they have really started, with myself and the hubby carrying the two younger children home. When we were sent some lovely items from Micro Scooters, I am not sure who was more excited – the adults or the kids?! I was hoping it would result in some lovely family walks without carrying a child who’s legs have suddenly become ‘too tired to walk’….before we have even managed to walk 10 metres.
Micro Scooters
Ten years ago, Anna Gibson discovered the Mini Micro Scooter. Her son gained confidence and independence and she then started selling them. Teaming up with her friend Philippa Gogarty they formed Micro Scooters Limited in the UK. They have worked with Micro Mobility in Switzerland to help to develop the Maxi Micro. Not content with scooters, they also manufacture scooter accessories for the UK and International markets, allowing children and parents to personalise their Micro Scooters and travel with safety in mind.
There are so many options on their website and you will find a range for all ages.
Mini Micro Deluxe LED Scooter
We chose the Mini Micro Deluxe LED scooter in green for our three year old. And let me tell you…we have one very happy little girl!
The Mini Micro Deluxe LED scooter is suitable for ages two to five with a maximum weight of 5st 7lb (35kg). I love the fact that there is an adjustable handlebar to ensure the scooter grows with your little one. It has tilt and lean steering and a removable handlebar for easy storage and transportation. The best feature (according to our three year old?) is the LED light up wheels that light up as your little one scoots along.
The Verdict
We have a real love for Micro Scooters. They are fun, well made and there are so many options to choose from that grow with the child. The scooters come with us on all of our camping and outdoor trips, as they provide hours of entertainment on our travels. We recently took them to Cornwall for February half term and the kids loved to scoot about the resort. I love anything that encourages children to have some time away from screens and get outside to enjoy nature and the fresh air. Micro scooters do just that… and they bring fun and enjoyment to our wonderful family walks. That for us is priceless.
