REVIEW APH Parking Manchester Airport (Park and Ride)

park and ride review Manchester airport

We were travelling from Manchester Airport to Kittila in Lapland for a New Year break, and once we had booked our flights – Sorting out the airport parking was the next thing to tick off my list. It feels like once the airport parking is sorted we are well on the way to our holiday.

APH has won the British Travel Award for the best airport parking for the 13th year in a row, and I can see why. From luxury airport parking to budget parking, APH ensure there is parking to suit everyone’s needs.

AD – We were provided with APH Manchester airport parking in exchange for this review, but all thoughts and opinions are our own.

APH Parking Manchester (park and ride)

We never claim to be the most organised family. We are pretty much always late for everything. It’s just how we roll.

When you have missed a flight before (we won’t go into that story though!) I have to say it makes you quite a ‘stressy traveller’ when it comes to flying. I never want to miss another flight again!

I now need to arrive at the airport in plenty of time to allow for PLENTY of time for the security and bag drop.

We have tried plenty of different ways of getting to the airport or ferry terminal on time. From travelling on the day of our travel, to travelling the day before and staying in an airport hotel or staying at a campsite close to a ferry terminal.

Manchester Airport Parking – APH

This year we were travelling from Manchester airport to Kittilä airport. Travelling from Staffordshire at Midday can take about 45 mins on a good travel day, so no need to travel the day before.

REVIEW APH Parking Manchester Airport (Park and Ride)

We were heading over to Lapland with kids for a week of magic in the snow, in a cosy Finnish log cabin.   We have stayed here before and loved it so much we booked to return for New Year.

With suitcases packed with ALL the things that we need for our Lapland holiday, we headed to Manchester airport full of excitement and ready for a week in the snow!

This was our first time parking with APH, and what a dream it was. I can see why it has 4.3 reviews on Turst Pilot. Our confirmation provided everything we needed to know, including useful information, address and travel information. We were parking just off Manchester airport, They advise to allow an 45 minutes to transfer from the car park to Manchester airport.

On arrival we parked in the lane near to the checkin desk and took all of our luggage out of the car at this point.

REVIEW APH Parking Manchester Airport (Park and Ride)

I love that we didn’t have to drive around trying to find a car parking space. We checked in using the confirmation we had previously been provided and handed over the keys to our vehicle.

The check in was quick and very smooth and the staff were really helpful and friendly. We were then allocated onto a bus and the bus left immediately heading to our destination – terminal 1.

The bus driver was really helpful, carrying our luggage on and off the bus.

APH parking just off Manchester Airport

The bus dropped by terminal 3 on the way, and then dropped us off at terminal 1. We had previously checked in online so that was one thing ticked off the travel list.

True Stern style we had got the timings a little wrong and probably hadn’t left ourselves enough time (despite all the information sent over from APH to ensure we did!) however the transfer took just ten minutes and we had dropped our bags off with plenty of time to spare.

On our return we were asked to contact the parking number once we had collected our baggage and make our way to the bus stop just outside the airport, and from here we were picked up from the bus stop just outside the terminal. We checked in at the checkin desk, and here we were given the keys back to our vehicle and our car was waiting for us just outside the entrance. The staff on duty were really helpful, friendly and the process was quick, no waiting around which is a bonus with three children.
