Adventure Parc Snowdonia review

Adventure Parc in Dolgarrog, North Wales has reopened its doors, and is under new ownership with a new vision … to bring epic family friendly adventures to Snowdonia. Having visited many years ago when the site was Surf Snowdonia, we couldn’t wait to head back to the site to experience the adrenaline filled adventures on offer!

Activities at Adventure Parc

There are so many incredible activities on offer at Adventure Parc Snowdonia. We tried our hand at the indoor caving and the ninja assault course followed by the pump track and skate bowl. Honestly there are so many awesome activities to choose from that offers a jam packed day of adrenaline filled adventures! Honestly, there is jut so much fun to be had for families at this extreme indoor activity centre.

Adventure climb

Adventure climb is an indoor climbing wall offering sky high adventures for all, from novices to experienced climbers. It uses a clip and climb auto belay system to make climbing accessible and safe, and there’s something for everyone from ages 5+

Ninja assault and adrenaline drop

We were lucky enough to try our hand at the Ninja assault and adrenaline drop. This ninja assault course involves leaping, climbing, bouncing, jumping and navigating high energy obstacle zones. You can also try freefalling from 9 and 12 metre towers into foam pits before gliding back on a zip line. If you have seen the TV show ‘Gladiators’ It definitely has a gladiator vibe to it, It is basically a giant adventure zone suitable for children and adults who love to take on a challenge! We bounced, climbed, jumped, and threw ourselves into the ball pit a few times and honestly loved it. It was great to be able to participate with the kids and I think the kids loved to see my slip, jump and throw myself around with them.

Indoor caving

Aimed at adults and children over 5, this epic caving adventure will see you crawling, and scrambling through artificial caves, tunnels and ball pools. The caving experience offers a safe environment to explore 100m indoor caving complex. I had a nervous 9 year old who was a little unsure of the small dark tunnels, but by the end of the adventure we struggled to get him to leave.

Leap of faith

This experience is aimed at 10+. Take the ultimate leap and step off the roof and experience a thrilling free fall, safely harnessed with a belay system. Not for the faint hearted this is the perfect experience for thrill seekers who love a challenge!

Adventure soft play

The adventure soft play appeared a popular adventure for they younger adventurers. Our colourful adventure play zone is the perfect place for toddlers and young kids to climb, crawl, scramble, and slide in a safe and vibrant space.

With multi-level zones, tunnels, slides, and obstacles, they’ll be entertained for hours. This area is recommended for ages 1–2 with parental supervision.

Pump track and skate bowl

Finally the pump track and skate bowl is just outside and is an amazing skate track with an incredible back drop. The 300 metre all-weather track, is perfect for skate boards, bikes and scooters. Bring your own equipments and get practising your skills. It was great to have an outdoor space space for our skate board loving 9 year old to spend an hour or two.

Final thoughts

We had such a brilliant day here. It is such a wonderful opportunity for all the family to take part in adrenaline filled adventures together and we loved that is worked for all ages including big kids and adults! It can sometime be difficult to plan our adventure days to keep all of the ages happy and honestly this was perfect.

There is a cafe (Caffi Eryri) onsite too and we refuelled with a milkshake and bite to eat. There is plenty to choose from including hot drinks, soft drinks, ice cream, milkshakes and some light lunches.

The team here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Blake guided us all through the Caves and at the start we had a very nervous 9 year old and at the end – we couldn’t get him out of the caves! I love that their vision is for families to embrace adventures, and they really are creating a safe place for families to enjoy indoor and outdoor adventures.

Adventure Parc Snowdonia review

We love family friendly activities that take us away from our screens. No frills, just good old fashioned fun that allows us all to get together, in perfect surroundings and just have fun. Honestly I laughed so much to day. And Not an iPad in sight!

We will DEFINITELY be back -might even include a little R&R at the nearby spa next time. The kids scored it a huge 5/5 today, and well… I couldn’t agree more!

Thanks to Ben and the team for a brilliant day!
