I’ll let you in on a secret, I have never seen the award-winning movie set in the 80’s. I am ashamed to tell you that. Nevertheless – I was heading to the musical with fresh eyes and no preconceptions.

An Officer and a Gentleman the Musical – Final Thoughts

An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical,  is a story about dreams, destiny, determination and true love. The love story unfolds land you can’t help but wonder who will complete their officer training and whose story will end in love and happiness? The story is beautifully portrayed and the cast are incredibly talented with insane vocals.

The musical is jam packed with 80’s hits with some mind blowing moments. I Want To Know What Love really stood out for me with incredible vocals, and the performance of Alone was absolutely beautiful.

The cast had a well deserved standing ovation and I am not surprised – it seemed everyone else loved this musical as much as I did. In all honesty – It was one of the best musicals that I have seen in a long time. If you are looking a feel good musical, a sprinkling of true romance, a trip down memory lane and some wonderful 1980s hits then get your tickets now. You won’t be disappointed.
