Pretty Woman at the Regent Theatre: REVIEW

Pretty Woman at the Regent Theatre: REVIEW

Pretty Woman is one of my favourite films of all time. One of the most beloved and romantic films of the 1990s Pretty Woman launched the career of Julia Roberts, and made the world fall in love with suave Richard Gere. Pretty Woman is walking down the street and into the Regent Theatre Hanley this week. Visiting the theatre is one of my favourite things to do (I love a spa, or afternoon tea may I add to). Read on for our Pretty Woman at the Regent Theatre REVIEW

Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Regent Theatre, Hanley

So what is it about? Set in Los Angeles in the late 1980s, a rich businessman Edward Lewis (Oliver Savile) falls in love with Vivian Ward (Rebekah Bryant) who her hires to escort him to a week of social functions. Vivian is feisty and independent, however you guessed it….very quickly falls in love with powerful and ruthless Edward.

Pretty Woman The Musical at The Regent REVIEW

I knew that Pretty Woman: The Musical was going to be incredible, and I wasn’t wrong.

Bryant is amazing as Vivian, and plays the part well with the right amount of confidence and sass and a powerful voice. Savile is suave and charismatic with incredible vocals and there is an awesome chemistry between Vivian and Edward onstage.

Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba for me; stole the show with his role as Happy Man and Mr Thompson. He has an amazing stage presence, with cheeky humour and charisma, and excellent vocals.

I have to mention Paris who played Kit de Luca who has OUTSTANDING vocals. Another star of the show was Noah Harrison who played hotel bellman Guilio, who again had a wonderful stage presence and had the audience laughing throughout the show.
