There is an amazing café where you will find yummy cakes, drinks or an afternoon tea, You can book a session in the decorating studio, and book a factory tour or visit the factory shop to for your favourite Emma Bridgwater pattern! Another of our favourite places to paint pottery in Stoke-on-Trent – Royal Stafford Ceramic Café is a lovely place to visit with kids. Prices start from just £5.50 including the studio fee, making it a really reasonable place to keep both the kids and adults entertained. Your work of art will be glazed and fired ready for you to collect (or posted out to you for a delivery charge). We love a visit to Royal Stafford and regularly visit with the kids for pottery painting and a drink.

For a wonderful day out for all the family – make your way to Trentham Gardens. We have been annual ticket holders for years allowing us to visit all year round.
Walk around the lake, spot the Trentham Fairies, search for the friendly Otters, sail aboard Miss Elizabeth boat, spend an hour or two at the adventure playground… the list is endless!
Finish the day at the Crepe and Waffle house- we can highly recommend!

Trentham Monkey Forest

Westport Lake Visitor Centre

Westport Lake is now run in partnership with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Stoke City Council and is a lovely visit with kids. It’s a great place for bird-watching and walking. Middleport Pottery

A favourite of ours, particularly on a rainy day is Clip ‘n’ Climb Stoke. We also had a party here too. There are various climbing sessions including the family session and a toddler session for younger climbers.

Apple Tree Town

Apple tree town is an indoor role play centre in Stoke on Trent, and a great idea for a family friendly day out in Stoke-on-Trent for toddlers.
Enter the town with 10 role play spaces designed to resemble real-life settings, they could be teaching a class in school, cutting hair for the day or cooking up a storm in the kitchen! The possibilities are endless.

A great place for a family walks – Hem Heath Woods is also a favourite place to visit for the bluebells in Spring! Search for woodland birds, climb the trees, or build a den. The woods is a perfect kids playground!
